Questions we get

How do you make money?
Replay's sales lab software integrates with our AI roleplay tools. We make money when your university decides to use Replay's AI roleplay tools in class.
Do we need a physical sales lab?
No. Without dedicated lab space, Replay runs a virtual sales lab: students book a time for their assignment and run the role-play from a laptop. Every session is recorded, filed, and scored on your rubric the same way.
Do we need to buy new cameras?
No. Replay works with the cameras already in your lab rooms. Anywhere else, students record on a laptop.
Do we need to install anything on our lab computers?
No. Replay runs in a web browser, so any lab computer with a working camera and microphone can use it.
What has to be custom built for our lab?
Only the connection from your room cameras and microphones to Replay. Everything else is the same software, with your logo on it.
Can we use our own rubric?
Yes. Replay scores against your criteria and point values. If yours isn't written down yet, Replay's AI assistant can draft one from your course materials for you to edit.
Does it work with our LMS?
Yes. Lab assignments embed in Canvas, Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, and Moodle, and grades sync to your gradebook.
How do you handle student data?
Recordings are stored only until the end of the semester, then deleted, unless your program chooses otherwise. A student's roleplays stay longer only if the student opts into a sales profile. We'll send your IT and legal teams our data retention and security documents.
Can we run our internal sales competition on Replay?
Yes. Our competition software is free and handles registration, scheduling, judging, scoring, the leaderboard, and reminders to students, judges, and buyers.
